Drains
All Terra Acqua basins are designed to fit any standard drain. Our drain openings are 1 1/2” for
bathroom basins, 2” for bar basins and 3 1/2” for kitchen basins. We offer drains that ensure
the best fit in a finish that is compatible with our basins. Our lavatory dome drain is unique in its clean
design and ability to seal water with a single touch. It also has a unique tail piece that allows it to
easily tighten no matter what the thickness of the counter top.
Santa Ynez Copper Basins
All Terra Acqua Copper basins are made by hand by skilled craftsmen. Because they are made by hand every
bowl will have a unique look to it. The natural antiquing of copper will cause color variations and markings.
There may be some slight pitting, solder spots, and uneven finishing that are natural to the production process
and the aging of copper. All our Copper Basins are crafted from 99%+ pure copper. They have a living finish
which changes with time.
The dimensions could vary up to 1/2” overall, therefore we recommend that you wait to receive your basin
before making any cuts in your counter top.
Terra Acqua copper basins are easy to care for. They all have living finishes that will naturally patina over time.
We recommend using only a mild non bleach soap to clean. Do not use abrasives or copper cleaners. It is a good idea
to wipe your basin with a soft cloth after each use. Avoid leaving toothpaste or antibacterial soap sitting in the
sink for any extended period. To protect the finish use a paste wax such as Flitz Faucet and Fixture Wax, or Tre Wax
every 6 months to 1 year depending on use.
Recent Studies have shown that copper may have remarkable natural antibacterial properties. These properties can
potentially kill dangerous bacteria such has e.coli in a matter of hours, while other traditional surfaces can allow
them to survive for weeks.

Montecito Stone Basins
Terra Acqua Stone basins are handcrafted from top quality stone quarried throughout the world. As with any natural
stone product no two basins will be exactly the same. There will be variations in both markings and color. There may
be fissures or veining which are natural features of the stone. The dimensions of any one basin can vary up to 1/2”
in overall dimension. We recommend waiting to receive your basin before making any cuts into your counter top. When using
plumbers putty it is preferable to use only on the underside of the basin as it may stain the stone if used on the
polished sink. Do not over tighten drain assemblies.
All Terra Acqua Stone basins should be sealed before use. We recommend Miracle Sealants 511 Impregnator, it will form an
invisible barrier that is resistant to moisture and staining. We recommend cleaning with a stone cleaner such as Miracle
Sealants Mira Clean, and wiping dry after use. Never clean with abrasives such as Ajax, Comet or other commercial cleaners.

Honey Onyx
Our Honey Onyx comes from China. It is a beautiful translucent stone that can range from light with elements of
cream to a deep honey color. Our customers have used it successfully with Jerusalem Gold Limestone and weathered
copper faucets. It is also stunning sitting on an Asian Vanity.
Green Onyx
The Green Onyx is quarried in Pakistan. It is a translucent stone with dramatic striations of rust and cream.
It can also have generous shadings of honey mist. The result is a stone that works well with the very popular
travertine and limestone in the market. It also makes an elegant statement sitting on an Asian Vanity. We recommend
using a weathered copper faucet to enhance the stone’s qualities.
Crema Marfil
Crema Marfil is a classic marble from Spain. Its natural sand shades have decorated villas and homes for centuries.
This is truly a stone that transcends time. Its color is consistent and blends perfectly with today’s popular travertine
and limestone. It can be used successfully with weathered copper or satin nickel faucets.
Carrara Marble
Our Carrara Marble is quarried in Italy. It is classic in texture and color; cloud white with storm grey brush strokes.
Its versatility lends itself to a traditional or modern setting. It is complimented best with nickel or oil rubbed
bronze faucets.
Black Pearl
Black Pearl is a solid black granite with a slight silver cast. It is a clean luxurious color that works well in modern
and Asian settings. It also makes a dramatic statement used in classic decor mixed with black trim. We recommend using
nickel faucets to compliment this stone.
Please remember natural stone is subject to variations in color and shading. If you or your client would like us to email
a photograph of the desired model in the stone currently available for shipping we are happy to do so.
Fortuna Cabinets / Consoles
The Fortuna Cabinets and Consoles are custom designed by Terra Acqua. They are built from solid wood intended to accommodate
the weight of Terra Acqua stone and copper sinks. The cabinets are Contemporary Asian in style and left with an antique or
slightly distressed look and come in either black/red or black/green. The antique or distressed look means there may be some
markings, and possibly knots in the wood that show through the painted finish.
Your installer will need to cut a hole in the top to accommodate a drain, and in the back to handle drain pipe. We leave this
choice to our customers since not everyone wants the hole in the center and not everyone wants to use the cabinet for a sink.
If any paint touch up is needed after the hole is cut a little black oil based semi-gloss paint mixed with a little oil based
varnish will suffice. When installing a vessel sink, using a little silicone around the edge at the bottom of the sink will
help prevent water getting underneath the sink. Be sure to wipe the cabinet dry after use.
